Not sure why, maybe poor vacuum hoses. Most I'm sure are original. It started yesterday. At first it only came halfway up. I looked at it and found a hose that connects to accuator that could be the culprit. It's very dried out especially at the curve where it slides on to nipple. I tried pushing it further on the nipple but not a lot of hose to push. Tried it and it worked several times. Tonight - No Deal! Also read where rubber boot goes bad too. Any other ideas. Oh, and I tried the bypass switch and without head lights on, it raised right but left stayed down. Thanks in advance to for any responses.

I had the bezel come loose and get hung up and it prevented my right side from opening. If yo climb under neath yo can push up on the linkage and make the door open and close without the car running. CHeck and make sure it moves freely. Maybe you'll see another dead hose or hear the actuator leaking if you put a vacuum testor on that side.
Guess I'll invest in a vacuum tester. I was not aware you could push up on the unit to open it from underneath. I was afraid it would break something by forcing.
Thanks, NICE-7D3

Just be careful because you can break something , there is a plastic switch mounted right near where the mechanism folds , if you just reach up blindly you can pull on it .Best thing is to get down there and visual it first .
While your down there you can test the actuator for leaks by hand with out any tools .
First thing is to remove both vacuum lines from the can , once you unlock the knuckle that locks the lights fully up ,you can move the unit up and down kind of in the middle of the total movement . While your doing this you can hear air being pushed in/out of each hose connection . So while your doing this use a finger to plug ONE hose connection and then try to move the light again , it should lock up .
If your trying to close the light and you cant move it because the curved end under the hood is blocked , then the main diaphragm inside is good .
if your trying to raise the light and you have the end that points out the front blocked and you cant move it ,it means the rod seal is good
