can anyone tell me what the adapter is needed to hook up r12 gauges on tje high side line? Its smaller than regular high side gauges and cannot hook up..
i am going to replace compressor and accumulator and stay r12 mineral oil.
compressor noisy after adding 12 ounces r12 but runs.
system tight and held pressure so i want to see pressures high side but fitting too small.
You do not need to remove the schrader valve. Just thread the adapter onto the end of the high side hose and connect it to the high side port. The end that goes into the high side has the pin that depresses the schrader valve. They also make a 3/16” high side adapter that is 90 degrees, for cars where the high side port is not pointing up.
