Default Door body window seals

Have a 72 t-top coupe, and am doing some maintenance on the door closing areas. Just bought some new seals for the door windows as per photo, I noticed when I took my existing ones off they were screwed on, but also used window silicon to attach. This may be a silly question but... how do they attach, or what is the best way to attach should I just use the existing screws without the silicon? If I can get away without using the silicon Id rather do that, but I guess the silicon seals out the moisture from getting in? interested in your thoughts/experience on the matter

All the weather-stripping on a c3 use screws , I used a 3m product , weather-strip sealer , its a contact cement made for auto,s . You need to put it on both parts and let it dry , then put them together

dry fit first ,so you get the idea of how it goes together ,because once the glue is on , you only get one chance .

here's one of my doors getting done on my kitchen table ,

did a dry run , screws only , then when the rubber is evenly taught all the way around , marked it with tape , so I could glue sections without stretching to tight or loose . worked a charm . small piece like you show you don't have to go to this much trouble but still do a dry run ,so no surprises.

Don't get it on your fingers or it will end up everywhere.

From memory I think those pieces you are showing should have a big rivet in the bottom , or at least the 77 model did.
