Help - Removing Radio Antenna

I've been trying to gently remove my '70 radio antenna from its base, but it won't budge. I'm hoping for some advice, tricks, special tools, lubricants, etc. that may work. There is nothing wrong with the antenna … I want to remove/reinstall it as part of my restoration.

I had to use PB blaster, let it soak, applied again, gentle rap, came loose. Take it slow and easy and you'll get it.

Let me know how it goes. My 71 has a power antena that doesn’t go up. I had a new stock antenna delivered to the dealership to be place in the car before they shipped it to me. Now I will have to yank the power antenna out and install the new one.., I hope I can use the existing antenna wire that goes to the radio..,

SInce the top is weatherproof, getting any penetrant in is difficult. Spray heavily and often thru the bottom. When all else fails use a dermel tool to cut the bezel nut.
