Default Tires

Hello,

I have the BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on the 77' corvette no complaints and time for some new tires.

I would like to ask does anyone have Michelin tires on their corvette and if so what is your opinion?

what rubber is your C3 driving on?

Thanks

My 16” x 8” old skool Gotti 3-piece hoops require a bizarre size. 235/60.

The only performance tire I could find in this size is a Bridgestone RE040. They work great but I’m guessing will be discontinued soon. I better buy a spare set while I can lol.

I have 18" Michelin Pilot Super Sports. One of the most highly rated tires out there. I can see why.

I have 17" firestone indy 500 firehawks. They stick like glue. You really have to get on them hard in a turn to get them to let loose

Love those wheels. I came close to getting a set for the '96 Z/28 Camaro I used to own.....

I run the Conti Extreme tires.
Also a good choice.

Either way, 18's are the way to go if you drive in a spirited manner.
Much better tire selection than the OEM sizes

You did not mention the size tire you have. If they are the original 15 inch diameter, then the BF Goodrich and Cooper are the two readily available name brands.
If you compare the specs. the Cooper’s have a bit higher specs. and normally sell for less.

What size and does Michelin even sell them?

I recently bought Mickey Thompson, 255/60/15 and so far so good and less expensive than BF Goodrich. Jegs had $50 off when you buy 4.

Running 245 60 15 Copper cobras. Cheaper than a BFG. They will dry rot before I wear them out. Not gonna be spinning the tires anyway.
