VIN date range question
My 71 VIN ends with 116063. Trim tag reads I30 (April 30). According to various sources it seems the last car built in April was 115983.
Was the trim tag made the same day it was attached to the car? If not, I'm wondering if this is the reason my vin falls slightly out of the vin range for April 1971.

Yes, but the tag date means only that your car arrived at the station on the assembly line where the tag was attached (4/30 for you). The car was probably not completed that day and would have needed another day or so to have been finished. April 30 was a Friday in 1971. Your car could have been completed on Saturday, May 1 or Monday, May 3.
