need some advice on storing my 75. is it ok to put a c3 up on jack stands for a long period of time. it will probably be in storage for two years. i noticed when i put it on my lift and raised it up the front clip seemed to sag nose heavy. will this happen on jack stands as well.
I like derek's thinking -
your tires are probably going to be shot so no worries about 'flat spotting' - if that's a thing..
My second thought - if there is a fire/ emergency, no way the car can come off the jackstands quickly.. if at all.
Say you push the car over the jackstands, they might get wedged in there, and then no chance - car's not moving in a hurry...
I'd be more concerned about the mechanical aspect of storage. Drain the carb and tank, ethanol fuel will not be good after two years and can cause problems.
My friend just had to replace two carbs on his blown hot rod after sitting too long, they were corroded and could not be properly tuned.
If you are storing it on concrete and you just want some clearance under it to clean; instead of using jack stands, purchase some metal ramps and set it up on those, or even better there are several threads where forum members have build tire stands using 2" X 4" s to raise the car for long periods.
It would be safer and more secure than in stands.
Check out Richard454's threads as an example.
After draining the tank, remove the fuel filter and let the fuel line drain. Remove the carburetor and pour the fuel out of the bowls. It wouldn't hurt to remove the spark plugs and squirt a little oil into each cylinder. Dont forget to disconnect or remove the battery.

Thanks for all the advice. Some things I did not think of where all good advice. Think I will leave it on the tires. I was going to drain the fuel but did not think on removing the carb to empty the gas out of it. Thanks all
If you are storing it in an unheated building on a concrete floor put down some cheap plastic tarps down and drive the car onto them. This will keep moisture away from underneath the car.
Don't forget to mouse and critter proof it.

Great advise as stated. You can also fog the motor with fogging oil. Marine supply will have it. You spray it into the carb as the engine is running and it will coat the interior for short term storage. I use to do that when I winterized the boat ( G-- am I glad I got rid of that thing!!!). After it stalls or you shut it down as stated remove the plugs and shoot some fogging oil down as well. Drain all the gas you will regret not doing so. Fuel stabilizer is a year at best!!! Ike
