Default Identify Cable

Could someone tell me where this cable goes, when I got the car all the interior was removed. I am getting ready to put carpet in and cannot find the other end of it. The car is a 1980 4 speed.

Looks like the antenna cable. That end should plug into the radio.

The one coming off the radio is running down pass side of the console.

Looks like a leftover CB radio connection maybe? Sometimes the antennas were mounted in the front hood edge area.

It's the CB antenna cable.

The single cable from the original CB/radio antenna runs to a signal splitter behind the driver side rear compartment trim panel. From there two cables run to the radio/CB head unit.

Guys you where right , I spoke with the Org owners son and he told me his mother was in a corvette club and they used CB when they where on cruises. No cell phones back in the day. So it is a CB lead.

That IS the FACTORY CB cable that came only with the very expensive CB option radios of the era. It came ONLY with a special power antenna that you can identify by a pale green node near the top of the antenna mast.

interesting because that's in the same place and looks just like the factory cable. I guess the end connection for car CB antennae was standard.
