I changed a regulator on my car.
Without knowing what's broken etc you could go ahead and order a rebuilt regulator from Bair's and remove the window and regulator and put it back together in a couple hours.
Pull the door panel, remove the bolts that go through the glass, pull the glass out, remove the regulator and scissor mechanism attached to it and get to work.
I'm sure there's more to it but what I remember was taking the window out and putting it back in required some care up front.
