No, you don't want that stuff at what, $1.50 more than premium? Nonsense. For your last tank full of gas for the season then yes, it stores very well.
The proper way to determine octane needs w/o knowing engine data is to start with the highest octane available. Next fill up, drop down a notch by mixing a half a tank of mid-grade and half premium and monitor pinging. If it still doesn't knock, drop down to full tank of mid-grade and so on. You have to listen to the engines needs.

If you live in a state that has ethanol free gas and its not ridiculously expensive, I would go with that. My friends in Utah say some of the chain Food/gas stations carry it with no mark up
