The rear bumper has yellowed, Does anyone have any idea if there is anything that can be done to make the paint on the rear bumper, short of a repaint, look closer to the body color. ( Less yellow ). I would like to save the paint as this car only has 20,000 miles all original

Back in the early to mid eighty’s auto manufactures were forced to switch from lead based paints to non lead based paints.
The new paints reacted differently to different materials, some faded, changed colors or just peeled right off within a couple of months.
Sadly, about the only remedy I can see is to take the car to a good custom paint and body shop and have them match and spray the rear bumper.
