Default 1969 Spark Plugs

Newbie here...I want to change my spark plugs on my 1969 small block 350cu/300hp. Manual says R-44, the car currently has 43S. What would be the best replacement? Thanks!

How does it run on the existing plugs? If well use the same. Alot of these plugs can be cross reference with other brands if you like. Just use the gap the book suggest. Good Luck!

Morning Jim

I have the same engine and, after a bit of research, chose to use NGK XR5 plugs (Part #3332) gap 0.035
Vette runs great!

Old plugs were AC R45

I've been using NGK B4 for many years. Non resistor, just a good regular plug.

The last AC plugs I bought were made in Mexico and were junk, that's when I switched to NGK.

I'm also using XR5 NGK spark plugs (NGK 3332) for several years and I've been very happy with them.
