Congrats on your "new" car, looks great.

Your original post said it had to be a convertible, what happened? I would have offered up mine if I knew you'd look at a coupe!!!

Maybe, Hopper. I was in and outa there a little bit. Mostly c3 and c5 forums, because that's what I was driving.

Hey, RM. What happened? My c5 was a vert and I loved that top down driving. But nothing quite symbolizes the era like T-tops. Nobody's making those anymore. And I didn't think it bothered me, but man I can't stand the plastic back window in the convertible. Love the hard top look, but it's nowhere near as convenient as pulling the t-tops and removing the rear window-- which is almost a convertible at that point anyway. This one just had too many of the options I was looking for to pass up. Tele-tilt has to be the biggest plus. My 75 lacked it. I'm 6'2" -- boy does that ever make a difference. Thanks for the compliments.

Beautiful car! I think it is ironic that you call that "rough". You haven't seen mine....

BONUS: It sounds pretty good with some older aftermarket exhaust and it's definitely been cammed up... It has a nice lope at idle and scoots a bit better than a 300 should. No complaints here with the new toy... Thanks for all the compliments. I'll post some more pictures and plans soon. (Gotta finish renovating my master bath, first.) Happy Labor Day weekend everybody! Drive On!

It's great to be driving and looking over those fenders, isn't it? Congrats on your new ride.

Congrats on the nicely optioned 70. It’s nice. I’m a former Michigander and just resumed lurking here on the forum after a 9 yr hiatus post sale of my 69 coupe. I picked up a dark blue 73 coupe last week so I’m back to the C3 forum in good company it appears. It even has the same ancient Firestone Firehawks

NIce Ride! Yep, those Firehawks will have to be one of the first to go... Gotta be 25 year old tires. Yikes.

The date codes on mine show 2007. I see this as verification of use or non-use of the car that wears them. The tires look brand new and it indicates that the car has been driven fewer than 1000 or 2000 miles in 12 years. Makes you wonder if the car was inoperable, neglected, loved and babied or...?

Hard to say... I haven't checked the date codes on mine but they do look to be in pretty good shape.
