Potential Long-Distance Purchase
Hopefully I'm getting this message in the correct forum section:
I have a WTB thread in the C3 WTS/WTT/WTB section of this forum and am looking for some advice in case I decide to try and make a purchase from someone not local. Obviously I realize I need to try and get as much info, pictures, history etc. as possible before I make any kind of purchase. It's the part after that, that I am unaware of.
How do I safely send the money and ensure the car is going to be delivered to me with a clean title?
Will the delivery company act as a middle man and take the car and title with them?
Can I use Paypal or something similar as a form of security for my payment? I'm not aware of if they'll reimburse, and attempt to track down the person if the car never shows up or a deal went wrong or something along those lines.
Obviously if I can, I will try my best to make the purchase locally (Phoenix, Az) but I would like to be able to broaden my options if at all possible.
Any advice from past experiences, positive or negative, would be much appreciated!
