Kinda stupid question for everyone but do the lights, dash, etc. work when you disconnect your starter? I am putting another engine in my c3 and removed the starter, now the interior lights do not work anymore...checked the fuses for continuity and they are fine.

The harness that connects to the starter-- there are 2 red wires with a large rings that hook to the same terminal as the battery cable on the starter. Get a bolt and connect them to the battery cable- That will get you power back to everything- MAKE SURE you have all the leads to the engine well insulated or you'll be popping fuses and possibly fusible links- Fire is a possibility too. Not anything good.
