Default upper radiator extension baffle?

hey guys, i seen that 327 cars came with a upper radiator extension baffle. in the CC parts book they list that seal as 327 air cars and 427 all? so did the 427 cars come with this baffle on top, or was it just air cars that get it? if 427 non air cars come with it, i am missing mine! fill me in all! thanks troy

Assuming you are referring to a 1968 427/390 without AC, it does NOT use a fan extension.

no, that ZIP part is for a extension of the fan shroud it self. the part im talking about goes along the top of the radiator support and seals the support too the hood. it has a metal bracket that goes the length of the support along the top. there are four self tapper bolt holes along the edge there. then a seal is stapled to that..thanks troy

here is the AIM pictures. they list a 327 baffle as # 3930127 and the 427 baffle as # 3930128.. i bought one that the seller said it came off a 427 car, but i think it was for a 327 because the seal that was stapled too it is the 327 style..i need too find someone that has one that for sure came off a 427 car...that way i can compare mine with theres for the differences...

This is the 327 part

427 part

This is the baffle I bought that I think is for a 327 but I’m not sure. Give me your thoughts guys! Thanks Troy

FWIW: do you have the aluminum small block radiator? #3930127 in your first AIM page is for the aluminum radiator.

No I do not have the alum radiator, that’s 327 only. My car is a 427, they come with a brass radiator. I just showed the 327 page as a reference that these baffles do exist for both motors. Thanks Troy.
