I've had mine for a few months now. Well worth it! Yes, you have to go under from the front or rear, but thats not a problem when using a creeper.

I am considering ideas to replace the rubber blocks - that's the only thing I really don't care for.

Curious why you do not like the rubber blocks ? What issues are you having with them?

I don't like the way way they just sit loosely in the pan - have to find the right place to position them every time. I also don't like the idea of stacking them for more clearance - if I remember correctly, the manual says you can stack two of them. Haven't tried it, but I would like the extra lift.

I am being picky here, of course. Considering the idea of a large wooden block that fits the inside dimensions of each pan.

I've got a piece of ridgid foam (like the stuff that comes in tool cases, ridgid but flexible) that fits into the pocket and keeps the blocks in the right place so I don't have to re-figure it out each time. Garage is in transistion right now but I'll take a picture next time

I would think the rubber blocks are better than hockey pucks (but what do I know - living in the deep south, I've only seen hockey pucks on TV ).

This is a good idea - actually anything that can be used as a template - a piece of plywood - position the blocks and then cut their locations into the wood - that would keep the blocks in place. If you jack up another vehicle, simply remove the template and reposition the blocks as needed.
