Hey everybody it’s crap. I’m back with a question.replacing the power steering hoses, anyone know what the hoses are called. Looks like there are 2 on top.what are those called? And there are two more on the end. What are the called? Thanks everyone.
All of the Corvette vendors carry these hoses as does Rock Auto where I got mine. They just call them power steering hoses.
There are 2 pairs of hoses. One pair is for the pump to the top of the control valve. The other pair are smaller hoses with a u-bend at one end that connects the control valve to the power steering piston on the drag link.
Len is right. You really should replace all four. One of the hoses is merely a low pressure return line.
Zip Corvette or Keen Corvette will have diagrams showing all four hoses. It is imperative that the two attaching to the cylinder are cross-crossed, but not cross threaded.
It never hurts to inquire the seller about the origin of manufacturing. hint-hint
