So I have decided to put a pace car style front spoiler on my 75 and have a question. Vendors like Zip sell the unit as a one piece in the $150 range and sell it as three separate components for around double the cost. What benefit is the three piece setup? I imagine that the three piece is probably easier to fit and provides the ability to change out just the center section if damaged. Any other benefits? Were the originals three pieces?

I installed a 3-piece on my '76 this summer. The only way I can see to get a factory fit is to elongate some or all of the mounting holes. The holes can't be seen once the spoiler is mounted so its not a big deal. Use bigger washers with the mounting studs if necessary to compensate for the larger holes. The 3-pc spoiler also allows for some small misalignment to be corrected whereas a 1-pc not so much.

I have a one piece mounted on mine. I like the look over the three piece. It is true though if you hit a curb or a low spot you will need to be careful. I have had too replace mine before because of this. another consideration is with lowered cars it is harder to get a floor jack in from the front or up on a set of ramps.
