Default 68 Conv. Sun Visors That Functional?

One of my cars PO's took off the sun visors and I am considering buying a replacement set. Car is a fun weekend driver and not a NCRS or show car. When I see the pictures of a convertible it looks like most of the time the visor is all the way up in the air stream above the window shield which is not a look I like. Also when using it looks like it would be close to your head unless too far down. Any feedback is appreciated.

I've been thinking about removing mine from my 70 convertible. They are absolutely useless.

When all the way straight up they function well to direct fresh air down through the gap in front of them into the cabin. Helps in summer when driving if your aircon doesn't work like mine doesn't.

Aircon...whats that? Mind did not come with it. I did not think about that the visors would help with air flow. Interesting....thanks.

I don't have mine pushed up nearly as far as regatta's. I keep mine slightly elevated, which i think helps route the air over my head. Since I'm almost always wearing a ball cap while driving, I believe it keeps any errant gusts from grabbing my hat off my head. Regardless, I like the way they look.

I don't change the visor position after putting the top down. My second wife was going to recover the original visors and lost every thing. Just recently found some original visors on E-bay, didn't realize how much I missed them. T

Hi Redvette, I really like having them - early in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening when the sun is right in front of you I find them useful in blocking the sun even though they're pretty small. When not using them to block the sun, I leave them part way up, but not all the way. Good luck and have fun!! Paul
