Default 1971 Red Manual Convertible

Hi,
I'm in the market for a 1971 Red Manual Convertible.
I'm not in the US, I will not check the car before shipping it.
Million dollar question is where can I buy my dream car not a lemon.
Any seller you could recommend, with clean record, proper car inspection and report?
Thanks in advance

I've bought quite a few cars "sight unseen" and have not had a bad experience yet. Some guys would never do it, but that is their prerogative.

We typically hire an inspector for a "pre-purchase inspection", he'll check the car out and put it on a lift to check the frame for rust - the most important part of the inspection IMO. [two cars that we considered buying failed this test, so we did not buy].

I know you want a manual but have you seen this one?

Have you started a thread in the cars wanted section of this forum? We've bought two cars from forum members here and were very pleased with both [ A '64 C2 & a '68 C3]

Good luck!

PS. Are you in Dubai?

I bought my 71 coupe sight unseen and shipped it to Spain. First I searched the Internet for my dream car. I found several candidates but one stuck out. It was a little more expensive but fully restored and exactly what I was looking for. Once I set my sights on THE vette I wanted, I researched the dealership that had it. Looked for reviews of other people who bought from them. Then I contacted a salesman by email asking about the car and it’s availability. Then we talked by phone and he answered all my questions. Then we did a video conference. He walked me around the car, exterior, interior, under the hood, under the car...

Once I saw how clean it was I left a deposit and arranged for an independent mechanic to thoroughly go through it and test drive it. I found a Texas, Dallas area mechanic on line who specialized in inspections for long distance buyers. Once I got his report back and looked at over the 100 or so photos he took and felt confident I was looking at a good fully restored matching numbers 71 coupe I bought it... I told the mechanic to look for and what I wanted him to photograph.

If you follow what I did you should be ok..
