Factory paint questions
Did GM paint the cars Assembled? What are areas to look at to tell if a car has been repainted. Overspray, Orange peel, primer... Going to look at a 70 that is said to be original paint with a friend. I guess if I find clear on it that will make it easy!

I look for the bonding seems on the body, if it's original paint you should be able to see a depression in the paint.
If you find any over spray on the frame it's been repainted.

Look at the nose from above and below. Have the hood up and look down into the frame structure. Then with hood open, get up under the nose and look as the chassis. Paint overspray becomes apparent by inspecting these areas.
