I have a 1970 corvette with no brake lights or back up lights, could it be linked together or do have have several issues.

Could be related or not. Do the turn signal lights work? Do any of them light up with the headlights on?

Brake light issue:

Check fuse, use ohmmeter, not just a visual [ah...looks good?!]
Check brake light switch by the brake pedal.

could be bad contacts inside the housing, bad bulbs, but all 4 at once would be rare. I like the fuse idea myself. Check for power at both sides of the fuse, then go from there.
