Im looking at this particular car on ebay...as a complete Vette newbie do you have any comments on price or specification? From my other thread I understand its only 200BHP
Thanks, I came across that thread a few days ago and it proved very useful.
The only thing that's a little off-putting is that fact that it's only a 200bhp car I think. That's quite an achievement to get that little power out of 350 cu in. motor.

That is exactly what I have. It is the same motor as the 1971 270hp base (just net vs. gross hp)
I grin every time I look at it and enjoy the hell out of driving it. It's a Corvette.
It all depends on what it takes to make you smile.
post 107 is a quote of the orig post in that sticky with all pics. listing is ended. did you buy it? if not take your time. study up on bird cage and frame issues. now go look at the cheap bombs on craigslist near you. also look at the ones you could never afford on a bet. now you have some ideas what you want and what you want to avoid...

Don't get hung up on power numbers from the 70's......they are complete bullshit most of them.
With a timing curve and proper advance plus a couple of other tricks.....they will throw 230-240 to the tire.
The factory power numbers were created by lawyers.....
