Default Another steeroids question

Most likely going to do the steeroids rack and pinion this coming spring on a 79. Has anyone had any clearance issues with long tube headers? I've got Headmans.

I have the summit ones which are like headman, fit without any mods. My shop had a 74 in and had to dent the hooker headers in one spot to fit. I think the speed direct website has a list of headers and how the fit with steeroids.

I have a big block with Hedman headers. No issues at all.
I was pretty amazed how well the unit fit. Going forward I may put a tiny dent in the number 3 tube, but I don't have to.
I installed the whole unit with the engine and headers on completely.

Scott,
Do you have Hedman Headers with a Big Block and Steeroids? If so, what part number do you have? If you don't have the part number, what size are the primary tubes?
Thanks,
John

Yep.
68, 496, aluminum heads, and Hedman headers.
These are the ones I have: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-68093

Everything fit fine. I readjusted my steering column this weekend and I do not have to dent the headers now. FYI with the stock steering box I DID have to dent them.
