I am by no means, an expert on automotive electronics, but I do have a fair amount of mechanical experience. I also owned, for a number of years, a '96 Camaro Z-28, which had the same engine as the one you're talking about. IMHO, and believe me, I'm not trying to be a "smart a$$", you're looking at a LOT of electrical work, for a minimal gain. What engine is currently in the car?

It’s a lot of work and expense. Did you get the computer too? These people can build a harness and set up the computer for the swap.

Street and Performance is also a good resource for doing this swap. Don’t forget the fuel pump and a good source of fun only money. Why aren’t you going to change the transmission?

One thing I forgot to mention, is you might have an issue with hood clearance. While a carburetor isn't exactly "short", it IS sitting in the middle of the engine, and the engineers designed the slope of the hood to accommodate this. The LT-1 engine has a "doghouse" fuel injection intake manifold, and while it's height may be similar to that of a carb set-up, the FI manifold extends further forward on the engine, which requires more hood clearance, right where the Corvette hood starts to slope downward.....
