Door glass differences
Any differences (aside from date code) between L1969 thru 1981 door glass?
Thanks,
G

Other than the Astro-Ventilation script? The 80-82 glass is supposed to be thinner.

Yes, the slightly thinner (by 1 mm I believe) glass from '80+ was part of the "diet" that reduced weight.

FWIW, and at the risk of stating what you may already know, convertible side glass is different than coupe side glass.
Sorry if I'm telling you what you know already but felt it's better to be redundant than to miss a point.

Thanks all,
So, will ‘69 glass not interchange into an ‘81 because of the thickness difference?

a thicker older glass may not slide as well in the later tracks. but if you already have the glass i would try it.
