Hello, first post looking for information. The story goes that in 1976 Pepsi had commissioned several corvettes be converted to “Orange Crush” models complete with orange velour interiors. Has anyone seen one of these or heard/know about them .
Since I made this post I have learned that it is on the cover of the Vette Vue Magazine, June 1980 edition. We are trying to restore this car back to the orange crush condition. Someone previously had started removing the velvet material.
Not that it matters, but to me it looks like a "normal" custom and the owner went to the extreme of creating a fancy display and calling it orange crush. The Denver Broncos called their defense the orange crush during that time with no affiliation to the soft drink.

Except for that giant soft drink can in the picture with the "Orange Crush" logo on it.
If it matters, my money says it's a one-off custom with no affiliation to the soft drink company other than the name. I doubt there were ever "several" of these, otherwise some of them would popped up over the years.
According to the article is was owned by an Abbie Miller and the Corvette Expo was in Knoxville, TN with the magazine from Sandy Springs, Georgia. Might start there...

There may be only 1, but it seems like an amazing amount of work if it wasn't connected to the company. In addition to the car customization the magazine picture shows a couple of overhead signs, one with lights, the huge "lollipop" like sign, cans on all of the custom painted fencing and the stage it sits on. Done today on a new corvette the price would easily be in the $250k+ range. Lots of cash for just one guy.

Do you have access to the article? I would love a few hi-res shots so I could see the pics and read it.
Maybe I'm missing something, all I see is an ebay link. The pictures show the front cover and editorial. Could you please point out what I'm missing? I seem to be challenged today.
