Just wondering if anyone has fitted a gauge cluster under the L88 hood scoop? I’d like to fill the big gap with something meaningful, perhaps fuel pressure, vacuum and something else?
FWIW: if your L-88 hood is functional, outside air is drawn through that space. Plugging it up with something would restrict air flow to the carburetor.
Heres a pic of the underside, since this picture was taken I had to cut away a little more for my air Edelbrock cleaner to fit, would fitting the gauges still be an issue?
At one time i had 3 gauges under the hood, engine temp, trans fluid temp, vacuum gauge.
Lighted gauges for at night, if your L88 hood is non functional for the air you can put what ever you want under there.

that looks great did you mount them to the top of the firewall?
I have a '76 with the high rise cowl hood and I installed the wiper motor cover so that provided a place to mount 3 auto meter gauges. This pic was more for the scenery when I was in the Florida Keys in 2016 than a shot of the gauges but hopefully it will help you.
That looks amazing, do you mean you fitted the wiper door from the short hood to mount the gauges to? Any chance of a picture of how you did it? Thats exactly what I want to do.
I have this one showing the plastic painted cover I installed however this only fits some of the later C3 cars. If you have a 68-72 I don't think this is an option since the wiper motor and arm set up is different.
