79 vin position in frame ?

Default 79 vin position in frame ?

Hello !! I’m just a new lucky owner of a 79 black coupe, but I need to find the vin incision on the frame to register the car... can someone help me with this ?

Copied this from another post.
you will find the
vinstamped on the driver side frame rail right across from the top of the tire it will be hard to see. It's Right on top between the body and frame. it's on the top of the frame rail, drivers side directly behind the rear wheel, it's a pita to see though.

Thanks Duke94 for your help, unfortunately i searched for the VIN number where the post mention it, but i couldnt found it there, in the foto you send me before there is positioned just in front of the tyre ( the external side of the rail) drivers side (american drivers side) the photo is from a 79 model?, but in the post you re send to me the position should be on the top of the rail, In any case i search front and upper side i couldnt found it. im sending a foto of my chassis maybe you can help me by signaling where to search, or do


you know if there is another place where the VIN ca be?

Well Salar, I pulled the left rear wheel on my 79' and just like you found, no VIN number there. Will look some more.

The vin is also on the LHS pillar.

yup... i tried to take a pic behind tire.. no clue if its there and not removing to see until need to
