Different oil question
Just had my 327 rebuilt last year. Block bored 30 over. New flat top pistons. 9.3:1 compression. Polished crank. 3 angle valve job & heads redone. New cam 432 int. & 444 exhaust. New oil pump etc. 1st oil change @ 500 miles using Valvoline VR1 20W50. I'm now ready for the 2nd oil change @ 1500 miles. Can I safely switch to Mobil 1 synthetic 15W50? Too soon? Should I wait until 3000 miles? 5000? Thanks for your input in advance.

yes mobil1 has plenty of phosphate and zinc. Ive been running it for years. Its made for flattappet motors
