Dash speakers

Which speakers will fit in my dash? I have a 68. Is it 4x10 or 4x6?

68s did not have dash speakers. The kick panel speakers were 4x10s.

But if you did have upper dash speakers, they would be 4x6

on my 79, I have 4x6's. I realize my dash is different than a 68, but I'd bet the metal framework under the dash pad is very similar.

Replaced the dah speakers on my '70 last year, the originals were a joke! I put Infinity 4x6's in there when I changed out my dash pad.

In my 71, I used the “Polk Audio DB461P 4x6-Inch Coaxial Plate-Style Speakers”. I just slightly drilled out the closest mount holes and they slid over the posts perfectly.

I am actually having a set of original 10 ohm dash speakers restored right now. I know the sound quality will be disappointing, but I'm putting the mono am/fm back in the car, so the original speakers are necessary. I have a nice little Bose bluetooth speaker that I can stream my phone through if I want better quality audio.
