Default Wiring harness location

Redoing the rear wiring harness in a 69. The photos are taken looking at where the back of the driver’s seat would be. I highlighted the wires in the second photo to make it easier to see what wires I’m talking about.

The main bundle (in yellow) is what goes from the dash to the tail lights, the green highlight is the fiber optics that route to the console. The question I have is what does the blue highlighted bundle go to? The bundle consists of a red, couple blue, and couple black wires. They were all cut and tucked under the carpet in the back there. Are these speaker wires? Or do they route under the console like the fiber optic cables? And if so what do they connect to?

Thank you for any help.

The blue and black wires go to the door ajar switches. The red and black go to the rear compartment courtesy light.

The rear courtesy light currently has a white and orange wire running to it. They’re a part of that yellow bundle and break off later.

As for the door ajar switches, I believe those are located up front near the foot wells, and they each have a white and black wire running to them as a part of the dash harness.

The door ajar switches are low at the rear of the door. The courtesy light switches are located low in front of the door. The left side has a white and black wire and the right side has just a single white wire. I just replaced the original door ajar switches on my 68 and the courtesy light switches too. These are connected to a new dash harness so I know the wire colors are correct.

Ohhh. Ok I see it now. Thanks for the help, wasn’t even aware of the door ajar switch.

These are from my 69 Assembly Instruction Manual or AIM. If you haven’t already bought one you should.
