Default BB valve cover identification

Have these big block valve covers that came off a 71 big block. Not sure if they are correct for that year and there is no part number to be found. Any ideas?

Didn’t a 71 have a push in rubber oil fill plug?

These are the valve covers I picked up for my ‘71 LS5 which I believe are correct. I had a set similar to yours that I blasted but then realized were wrong.

I have no idea. These came off a 71 and that’s all I know. Would like to Id them and figure out what they are worth.

All the plug looms and brackets must be for a specific year

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but those have a number of characteristics that indicate those are later than 71. NCRS judging guide has pics and description that is very helpful.

I believe that originals had the internal oil drippers. most aftermarket ones do not. These do not.

Looks to be grinding marks where the drippers may have been ground off
