Default Advice requested Headlight housing

Hello my Corvette friends I'm looking for input.

My passenger side headlight housing is broken.
ZIP Corvettes has a picture on there website of the part under "Headlight Housing".

The inner hole where the wires go through and the bulb is mounted has had the lower half broken off.
The net affect is I can mount my headlight but I can not aim it properly. Since this is the high beam it is not critical since I do not use the high beam much. I would however like to aim it properly if at all possible. The obvious repair is to buy a new one, have it painted and install it. At the moment that option is off the table.

So I was thinking maybe I could find a damaged one with that part intact, chop off the missing piece I need, match it to mine and JB weld it on!
What does the collective knowledge think of this idea? FYI the headlight housing works fine and looks great, goes up and down perfectly. I just have a hard time aiming the headlight.

Input and ideas are welcome!
Scott

Get a small flat piece of metal- bracket from Home Depot/Lowes will work- drill a couple holes- the potmet is easy to drill. Some nuts and bolts- done. If it makes you feel better- put some JB weld on the crack/break.

***EDIT***** you are missing the piece- then a "L" ot "T" bracket and just connect the spring to it-******

And that is why I came here! I do not have the piece but love the idea of getting an angle bracket!
Thanks!

Make sure you “rough up” all the surfaces before applying the Jb Weld. Of course make sure to clean everything like it has the Virus and give it a few days to cure. I probably put on too much epoxy, so the longer it sets, the better it will hold.
