Default Installing 427 with supercomp headers... Info please

I have the 427 out as of now. I am going to install long tube headers straight out the back of car. Is it easier to put the headers on the block first and install motor and headers together? Or install motor first without headers?
thanks

I have installed a 427 in my corvette. I did it without headers. I'm about 90 percent sure it cant be done with long tube headers. It is tight. I installed mine with trans connected. Installing headers is a PITA. Good Luck.

If you take the body off you can install engine with headers attached. Probably not worth the trouble...

It's easier for me to put the engine in first, then put the headers up from the bottom. OR if you have helpers, one on each side could hold the headers down in the frame where they would be if installed, then lower the engine in place.
