Default wiper door molding fit question

Can someone post a picture of the fit of the wiper door molding fit to the door on the leading edge. Just received my car back from the paint shop and the leading edge of the molding is 2 -3 mm high to the door. I do not recall the gap before painting. I suspect they may have bent it when the removed it.

thanks JFG15

Can you post a picture of yours?

Are you referring to this area? Excuse the 49 year old paint.

On my 69 there are U-shaped clips that slide on from the rear. Raise your door and check to see how many clips you have. Looks like maybe you have one or two missing. Here's a pic from Corvette Central.

Sounds like that might be his problem.
For reference, I just checked mine and there a 5 clips. One in the center and the other 2 on each side are evenly spaced.

You chose not to paint the molding?

Hopefully the clips will fix the gap. On another note, it looks like the wiper grill doesn't have the correct spacing between the bottom and the bracket where it mounts.

Tight, no gap visible from over head but a even very thin gap across entire length.
5 clips.

For me to see the gap I have to lay my head low to the hood.
Sheet of paper folded 3X and it is very tight it barely goes in, paper folded once goes in freely

4x will not fit

Thanks for all the reply and photos. I took it apart today and it did have the 5 clips. Problem was the molding was not fully installed into the clips. Re-installed correctly fit issue solved.
Thanks JFG15

How is your outer trim piece attached ?
I could not figure how to use the clips so I glued them on.
I will see how well it holds.

The lower outer windshield moldings are attached with the screw and 2 special little clips on each side similar to the trim on the wiper door. The link below is what you need. You slide the clip on the fender from the inside out then slide the flat bottom of the trim under the top of the clip from the outside pushing in then attach the screw.
