Need a little help. I think I found the issue as to why my vents only blow out on the floor. I have a shop manual, but I don’t understand where the green/black vacuum line ends up. The pics below are in the windshield wiper area. What should it be hooked to? Can someone send me pics of theirs?

I can't find my pic, but I believe that line attaches to a vacuum connection behind that black plastic mesh you show in your pic. Just remove the mesh and you will see the connection. I remember I replaced a line on my 1980 in my wiper tray which went to an actuator behind that black mesh.
You probably should replace that line while your at it...

Yep, the vacuum line goes to that actuator in top left of "81BlackVettes's" pic. If I remember, there as a vacuum hose-to-vacuum hose splice behind the black mesh so you don't have to go all the way to the actuator - you can't get your hand thru there.
Thank you so much! This is perfect. I found the connector behind the mesh this morning. I just need to go get some vaccum hose from Advanced. As lakerider57 stated, the hose is pretty chewed up and i need to run a new line.
