Could someone be kind enough to take a pic of their exhaust tips (rectangular type) from below looking up please to show the correct alignment? Just flip your camera from back to front and lay it on the floor looking up.
I've just had a chambered exhaust fitted and I was very specific that they be tucked in properly but having got it back yesterday, they are appalling. I mentioned it and he said they looked great on the lift so I took a pic of what you would see if it were on a lift:
I would use my red one as the standard bearer but those aren't that great either and as they were done by the same shop / guy that's why I was very specific on how they should be fitted. Bloody great at everything else but this seems to be his nemesis!
I had a play today and chamfered the end of one pipe but that ain't working so it's going to involve some cutting and welding which I don't want at this stage
Isn't that backwards? Pipe should be on the outside edge? (not criticizing, just curious as it's opposite of the 71-72 that I'm used to)

I'd say if you pull off the tips you might be able to loosen enough clamps to get them close to lining up.

I just looked over my pics of my reassembly and I had it correct and they lined up great on the old exhaust. My day just got shittier as I checked the red one and he's managed to reverse them also. What's worse is he welded them on.
At least it looks like the angle will improve (on the clamped one anyway) if you can get them over to the right sides
Just write today off and pretend it didn't happen (like I'm trying to do to most of 2020 so far) and start over tomorrow

Hey I hope your year improves!
I decided that it would be good to be able to sleep tonight so I put the beer on hold and took them off. They will align perfectly but the attachment he made from the glass packs to the exhaust hanger won't work. So beer it is and I'll tackle it tomorrow.
