Default '68 Access Panels Missing

Hey Guys:

I'm working on a '68 and it seems like there are access panels missing on both sides under the car. They might appear to be triangular and made to protect the bulkhead connector and body mount (left side) from splash and the body mount on the right side. Can anyone verify this, and tell me where I might buy these items?

Thanks!

Yes they are missing they bolt on behind the rocker moulding and to the fender skirt. They are made of metal.

Do you have any idea where to buy them? I'll put a WTB up here....

Thanks!

They are called splash shields and you mAy find reports or used ones on eBay.....I’ve seen them listed before. I agree on a WTB post in our section too

A few months back, member @grantstigers had a pair for sale. Not sure if he sold them. Good luck

most Corvette parts vendors have them. I think I bought mine from Willcox or Zip. They are not really expensive. Buy the mounting bolts also. There are 2 or 3 bolts that secure the splash shield to the frame .

I restored mine, as Bubba left them alone. I believe the rubber water seal is an extra item. Looked on the CF for info, and used 16 or 18 Ga. galvanized solid wire from HD in lieu of the staples used by Chevrolet to secure rubber seal.
