Some wiring help
Hi all,
My son recently purchased a 79 L82, and I am helping him install a set of dakota digital V series gauges. The previous owner had some of the dash wiring really messed up, so we are trying to straighten it out.
I am having problems with a few items I hope someone can help me with.
1. I can't find any illustration of what function the center gauge connector wires are for. I have found the diagram for the speedo/tach connector and their specific functions, but I can only find diagrams that show just the colors of the wires, not the functions for the center.
2. For the new fuel gauge, I am assuming I hook the pink(ohm) wire into the dakota control box?
3. Tach hook up..Do I need to run wires from the tach,? I know the speed/tach dash connector has a yellow wire that is listed as tach signal wire, but I'm not sure if that is what I need to use.
