Great job. While the carb is off the car, consider plugging the crossover ports on the intake manifold. Also use the three piece gasket set recommended by Lars. Doing both will keep your carb base cooler and help prevent vapor lock. I bought my plugs at NAPA for about $1. Jerry

Exactly. That is the carb cooker manifold.

Need to block the drivers side passage and wire the EFE flapper valve open at a minimum. More than one way to skin that cat.

thanks I’ll be saving this tip. This is my first engine install so I’ll have plenty of questions. Rescued my 69 from bubba and bringing it back to factory as possible.
