So I was running the final piece of my front lighting harness - which is the fiber optic head through the dash and down the center gauge area and into the center console where it terminates into the upper portion that displays 6
light displays - not a fun job. Of course one thing led to another and "while I'm here" I thought to myself I should fix my heater control head that's never worked correctly since I got the car. My car is a non AC 1969 convertible
and I see only 1 cable hooked up on the right side of the control - it goes to the flap that controls the heater door. Not including the 2 vent cables (which work correctly) it looks as if there is supposed to be another cable hooked on
the left side (looking down on the heater control head in the center console) but I don't see any. Is this correct or am I missing a cable?

Was going to just run the fiber optic head in and I ended up tackling:
1. Fixing the broken clock (never worked)
2. Fixing the dash lights (broken headlight switch, dark green lead not functioning)
3. Refitting the heater control. (only partially worked)
4. Fixing the radio (never worked)
5. Re-dyeing the center console and brake release
Now I know why I got such a "good" deal on this car...
You managed to fix the fiber optic cable without a frame-off?
M
Well "fix" might not be the term - I replaced the forward lighting harness - it contains the 6 fiber optic cables along with the light wiring.
I would suspect the rear harness would be the same, although my rear fiber optics work well.
