Body shim Placement
My '71 AIM UPC1, Sheet G1 shows the body shims at mounts 2&3 beneath the spacer "biscuits" and the shims at mounts 1&4 above the spacer biscuits.
When I lifted my body off the frame (the first time it had been lifted to my knowledge), the shims at ALL the mounts were above the spacer biscuits.
Anyone else have a similar experience?
WAAAYY down the road when I go to reassemble, should I put it back the way it was or the way the AIM shows? Does it really matter?

Always found the shims on top of the spacer. One good rule when restoring a Corvette or any other car. Is if it appears to be the original part never played with do what the car tells you not a book. The assembly line employee would deviate from the assembly manual when installing an item that made it faster and easier to install. As long as it had no other factor when installed.
