Default Part Identification

Anyone able to identify this part and where it belongs? Found on the garage floor today...grateful it was there instead of on the road. Belongs to a 1973 Corvette 350 small block 4spd. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I think it came from the spot above the wiped off silver area.

I've seen a lot of posts on the "headlight door open" switch snapping off. But your piece looks different.

I dont know what that switch does, nuetral safety maybe, reverse should be at he back of the tranny

The transmission "had" a TCS Transmission Controlled Spark switch there. Emissions control device. If you can pull the rubber boot off that part you found you might find the other half of the switch.

I would probably not replace it. Bypass it unless you really need it.

The contact blade on the switch is broken off, as stated above, probably broken off in the rubber boot of the connector.
