Default differential
recently purchased a 78 differential. the cover has Muskegon Brake cast in the cover. Is this an original or after market

Heavy Duty unit. Should have more meat at the area that the stock units were prone to crack..

Yes. But this only tells you the cover is made by Muskegon. There's still a question of the lineage of the rest of the diff.
