Hello to all. I have a 69 sb with a munchie 4 speed. Some time ago I bought a clutch fork boot from one of the vendors, don't remember which one. Installed the boot and worked it into the opening around the fork, seem to fit well and sealed around the fork and into the opening well. all well until you depress the clutch pedal and the boot dislodges partially. Tried a couple of times with the same result.
My question is if there is a trick to getting the boot to stay in place? Is the boot the problem, looks good at first when installed but something happens, more than one boot, does it depend on the make of transmission? Thanks for help and suggestions that you may of found.
Hello Melwff. My boot appears to be the same as what Willcox sells. The shorter of the two boots that are available. Perhaps I just need to shave a bit off here and there for a better fit. Thanks for your reply.
