Default New Purchase - finally

Well after months of searching I finally pulled the trigger and she arrived at the house today. Specs - 1969 Convertible, 2 owner car, 71,000 original miles. 350/350 L46, 4speed, no PS, no PB, no AC, stripped down model. Last owner had it since 1990. Spent its entire life here in Michigan. I still cant get over the shape this car is in. The only mod is a Holly EFI system put in but the original Roch carb came in a box.

Love the 1969 license and dealer emblem - really adds to the nostalgic original look. Beautiful car that looks like a time capsule.

Sacrilege to drill holes in such a beautiful car to put a dealer's advert on the tail. Nowadays at least they peel off, but back then...

Yes, it’s amazing to find such well preserved examples in SE MI. I too lucked out a few years back when I located a 3 owner 69 L46 coupe w/ factory side exhaust in Manchester while living in Clarkston. Like your super clean example, it was a very low option car and it’s still in your area. Yours is very nice, congratulations, I hope it was well bought and you suffer no buyers remorse. Any Under hood pics?
Good luck,
Ken

Very beautiful. I recently sold a white/saddle C3 t-top that I had owned for 45 years, and am now shopping for a chrome-bumper roadster. Colors at the top of my list are red, blue, and steel cities gray, and I was not really thinking about white, but your new car has made me change my mind. It is stunning.

I sold my C3 because it had gotten to the point where it needed more cosmetic work than I was willing to invest in time and effort. Hard to let all those memories go, but the dream of a cherry chrome-bumper roadster keeps my spirits up. However, finding the right car, especially now, has been a real challenge.

Very nice, unmolested 1969 example!
Congrats! And welcome to the Michigan '69 owners association.
(seriously, DO look into joining a local Corvette club to enjoy the perks of ownership and fellowship. Lots of rides and events to choose from - at least during non-COVID years)
BTW - I also like your license plate. Not sure if you were aware that Michigan coded older plates by county of registration. "RP" for your '69 looks to be Ottawa county on the west coast of the mitten around Holland and Grand Haven.
Enjoy the ride!!!

Thanks for the plate info. I did not know. This one was in Flushing (outside of Flint), guy owned it since 1990. Not sure if the plate is original or if he added it on later.

Will do. Registration is going to be a pain in the butt with theSec of State only taking appointments. I managed to get one for tomorrow for title transfer. Hope they can do the classic one time registration at the same time.

Thanks. White was also not in my top three. Mine were Lemans or Mulsanne Blue, Cortez Silver and Red, but this baby just popped when I saw it in person. I like the black leather interior too.

Nice ride and good luck

Since I was a kid I wanted and was looking for a 68-70 white big block vert when I bought mine but there were none to be had at a price I could afford
