Help with Value for Old Parts
Anyway, I am cleaning out the garage and dug up a bunch of parts that I want to get rid of. Some of these parts were taken off my car during restoration (very low mile 1971 LS5 convertible) and other were just ones that I had accumulated for various reasons. I know that some people want original parts that can be restored vs. reproduction parts, regardless of condition. Can someone help me determine a reasonable value for these? I have a few other reproduction items and miscellaneous items, but here are a few of the more interesting parts.
- Painted pieces for rear quarter panel covers (I think?)
- I also have the original quarter panel covers with shoulder strap holes (not pictured) but one of them has a corner broken off (I have the piece) and the other has a few cracks around the screw holes. I can send pics if any one is interested in those. I assume they can be patched up and painted for a nice set for a driver.
- Quadrajet carburetor (7043200 ET, date code 0893). Obviously not original to my car, but it ran when I took it off my car. It has been sitting for a long time, so likely needs to be rebuilt/restored.
- Power brake booster - 0338. Not sure if that is a part # or date code.
- Master cylinder - C5480348, 276 date code?, can't read other numbers.
- Original BB front springs - these were the original springs from my car and when we took them off, they still had the tags on them. Another testament to the low mileage of my former vehicle.
- Original timing chain cover. Again, can't remember why I took it off and replaced it.
