I just purchased a 75 coupe and I am a newbie to the world of vettes. I would say I am somewhat mechanically inclined, and although I don't plan on making it a show car, I would like to make it a good looking ride. It has a brand new 350/325 engine and a brand new 5 speed manual . New Ferrari Orange clear coat paint job. The interior is in average condition for its age. I am just starting to do repairs to the interior.

I have a question that someone with experience might help me with. The passenger seat works perfectly. The driver seat back does not seem to recline as much as the passenger's seat and the seat back does not lock into place. The push button is there as well as the seat lock assembly, but it won't lock. Does anyone have any ideas on what it can be and how I can fix it? Thanks for any help.

2 stopper bolts with rubber cushions coming out of the bottom of the the seat back. If you screw them up into the seat it should allow it to latch.

If you like the more vertical seat back position you can put shims under the hardware located at the rear of the seat bottom and keep the ability to latch.

You can purchase the shims from any of the vendors. The shims were included when our cars were delivered, but most were probably lost, mine were MIA.
